Agar’s Safety

Agar manufacture started 350 years ago and it has been eaten by many people so far.

All our agar products are made in Japan unless specified, to keep the quality at high standards. To make high quality products, the manufacturing location must be a clean environment and have a suitable climate. In America, Kanten is registered in GRAS (Generally Recognized Safe) list and confirmed the kanten’s safety. Also, kanten intake level does not need to be limited according to the FAO/WHO. In other words, you can eat agar as much as you want!!
