60 Days Agar Diet Example

This page shows an example of how to apply our agar diet project in practice.

1. Background

Her name is Ann (fictitious name). She was 27 years old and working at a travel agency. She likes cooking but does not like exercise. She worked from Monday to Friday and was extremely busy. During weekend, she normally stayed at home and sometimes invited her friends to eat dinner together. One day, she noticed that she gained weight a lot due to her stresses caused from her unstable life-style during weekday. Her stresses were mainly from work. At first, she thought she needed to sort her stresses out to take life back. So, she put a lot of effort in to solving her issues. Finally, she could overcome her stresses. However, she realized that she was still overweight than usual and decided to diet.

Note: Some people who are under high pressure tend to overeat.

2. Lecturing Agar Diet Methods

Ann asked her friend who already succeeded losing weight using agar seaweed. Her first advice was to set a goal. Ann wanted to lose her weight 5kg before summer starts. So, she decided to lose 5kg within 2 months (60 days) since then. Her friend also told the Agar Diet Principles she used during her diet.

3. Diet Starts

Because her life-style between weekdays and weekends were completely different, Ann split her diet project into two sections, weekday and weekend.

1.1 Weekday

The life-style during the weekday was further split into three sections, breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Breakfast

Because she did not have much time in the morning, she ate agar jelly which was made previous night as a breakfast. If she did not even have a time to cook jelly, then she put agar powder into her drink.

Lunch

When she forgot to take dietary fiber in the morning, she alternatively took it at lunch. She never ate anything between meals even though her friends asked her to eat out together. When she used public transport everyday, she got off 2 stations before she normally got off. This action created extra half-hour walking time.

Dinner

Before dinner, she cooked agar jelly for both tonight and the next morning everyday.  She ate it half hour prior to dinner. Therefore, when she ate dinner, her stomach was half full already and did not have to eat a lot. Afterwards, she did not eat anything until going to bed.

1.2 Weekend

In weekend, she cooked various agar jelly for fun. She shared them with her friends sometimes. At that time, she never drank soft-drink or alcohol.

4. Results: Losing 4kg after 60 days

5. At the End

It is important to note that proper eating and exercising may not be sufficient to diet efficienty. The main reason to she gained weight was most likely because of stresses at work. Without removing her stresses first, she could not solve her obesity issue.
